Life is a journey that’s meant to be good! I’m packed up and ready to leave for a 3.5 day MTB retreat with 7 good Christian men. A lot of us could share stories about getaways, vacations and retreats and how wonderful they are. A few would say life changing, at times. What I want to know is how many of you look at your entire life as one trip & one big great adventure? I’m that guy, no apologies, that’s different. I’ve never really fit in, had many friends or cared about the things most guys care about. I love life, everyday of it. The good, the tough and the hard. I don’t have bad days! I’ve had bad days in the past but those days are behind me now. I have learned valuable lessons, healed and grown from them. But I don’t have them anymore. May I suggest you take the same approach? Consider who you can become over just what you think you are capable of. Going on retreats, getaways and vaca’s for me isn’t about escaping but rather exploring, experimenting and experiencing new things. When we experience new things often we can begin to change the way we think about and live our lives. We don’t just work to play and live….we should be growing as human beings! One of the things I am passionate about isn’t just change it’s improving. We as men need to improve and we need to take our families on more than just getaways, retreats and vacas.
