Based on the CU Football schedule, Boulderthon 2024 will move its date from September 22nd, 2024 to the following weekend, September 29th, 2024.? ? Why: The CU Football schedule was published on Tuesday and CU will now be playing at home on Boulderthon weekend. We immediately initiated an all-hands meeting with city, county, and law enforcement officials to discuss the feasibility of hosting Boulderthon on the same weekend as a CU Home game.? ? The outcome: In conjunction with our city, county and law enforcement partners, we have determined that given the limited availability of resources, we cannot simultaneously produce a high-quality event the size of Boulderthon (10,000+ runners plus 25,000+ visitors) on the same weekend as a CU home game (50,000+ people) within 24 hours of each other. ? We know — this is the second time we had to do this. It’s frustrating, especially for those who are coming in from out of town and have travel booked, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. It’s not what we wanted either, but we ultimately have to do what’s best for the community and the safety of our runners based on limited resources and safety personnel on an all-hands on deck CU football home game weekend.? ?
