DAY 65 OF #100DAYSOFAI Today, our focus is on enhancing the community experience for the residents of Greenwood. Our goal is to develop a central hub where Greenwood residents can easily learn about and participate in upcoming events and activities. To achieve this, we plan to create a website where users can share their content and connect with others. While platforms like Nextdoor already exist, our aim is to tailor this initiative specifically to the unique needs and interests of Greenwood. Here’s what we envision for our community-centric website: Features for Individual Users: Personal Profiles: Share updates about community happenings. Event Creation: Organize local events or volunteer activities. Group Formation: Establish groups for book clubs, tennis clubs, and more. Features for Organizations: Activity Posts: Promote local activities. Event Announcements: Share details about upcoming events. Features for Businesses: Ad Creation: Advertise products and services. Promotion Posts: Highlight special offers and promotions. Additional Ideas to Enhance the Platform: Local Fundraising Options: Incorporate a GoFundMe feature for community projects. Regulatory Updates: Provide information on local laws and regulations. School Integration: Connect with local schools for event and activity updates. By building this platform, we aim to foster a collaborative, fun, and engaging community for all Greenwood residents. Your feedback and suggestions are welcome as we embark on this exciting journey!

THIS WEEK! We're super excited to be holding our Annual Recital this Saturday, 25th May. As we explain to all our students - the recital is more about the journey of preparation which leads to our performance on the night! Set the goal: Choose our recital piece Work towards the goal: Start learning our piece Understand the challenges of our goal: Perfect our piece & discuss performance readiness Build resilience & discuss performance nerves: Mock recital performances in lesson & practicing flow of performing under different circumstances. Achievement of skill acquiring & self-esteem building: Completing the last step of our goal is a goal achieved, no matter how the performance goes. The MOST important thing for our students to learn from this process, is setting a goal & seeing it through. Of course we work hard towards a seamless performance, however, completion is more important than perfection. Stay TUNED for some tips on dealing with performance nerves brought to you by "Off The Couch Therapy"! MLWR x

Making Schools the Heart ?? of the Community Happy Monday! ?? Let's kick off the week with an important conversation: How can we open up schools to improve community cohesion? Schools have the potential to be the central hub of our communities. Here are a couple of key ideas to get us started: - ?? Open Facilities: Allow community access to school facilities for meetings, sports, and events. Most schools do this already but struggle to get much uptake. When not try offering an attractive rental rate initially to entice increased occupancy? - ?? Volunteer Opportunities: Encourage community members to get involved in school projects and mentoring programmes. Some schools do this already but do not have an effective plan in place to maximise this. Why not have a open meeting to discuss this with the school community and assess the range of skills parents can bring? How can we make our schools more inclusive and community-focused? Share your thoughts and ideas below! ?? #CommunityEngagement #Education #MondayMotivation
