With translation the end game for EMF's evidence-based research, a new paper asks 'Did practice change after a landmark multicentre study into management of primary spontaneous pneumothorax (PSP)?'* The verdict? PSP patients receiving an intervention in EDs decreased from 31.3% to 12.5%. after March 2019 and post-study. Intervention for management of PSP is less frequent, suggesting adoption and implementation of best evidence. *PSP is?an abnormal accumulation of air in the space between the lungs and the chest cavity or pleural space that can result in the partial or complete collapse of a lung.
