Welcome to October! We’re celebrating the start of spooky season by sharing some insights on Halloween spending and supply chain trends. ?? ?? Spooky Spending The National Retail Federation’s annual consumer survey reports that Halloween spending is expected to reach $11.6 billion this year, with 47% of shoppers starting to buy items before October. ?? Halloween Supply Chains S&P Global shared a recent report that states Halloween related imports are up 18.6% year over year. If you’re planning on handing out candy, it may be good to know that average chocolate bar prices have increased by 9.6% due to poor cocoa harvests. ??♂? Costume Trends The same report shares that imports for costumes have dropped 19.4% compared to 2023.
