Triangle reorganises European commercial team Mirco Spiniella has been promoted to commercial director Europe and Igino Schiavi has been named sales director for Southern Europe at Triangle Tyre Europe. Igino Schiavi, formerly product marketing manager Europe, has been appointed Sales Director for Southern Europe. He takes over this position following the departure of Roberto Pizzamiglio. “With a wealth of experience in product strategy and market analysis, Igino has contributed significantly to Triangle Tyre’s European operations. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening client partnerships and supporting growth in the Southern European market”, company representatives said in an official statement. At the same time, Mirco Spiniella, previously business development director Europe, has been promoted to the newly created role of commercial director Europe. In this position, Spiniella will oversee the European sales team across all product segments, “fostering collaboration and driving initiatives to better serve customers throughout the region”, according to the company. “We are pleased to share these updates to our European commercial team,” said Corrado Moglia, general manager, Triangle Tyre Europe. “Igino and Mirco bring strong expertise to their roles, and we are confident that their contributions will further enhance our ability to meet the needs of our customers and consolidate our presence in Europe. These changes reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a lean but strong team in one of the key strategic regions globally.

Those companies that truly understand and apply Playing to Win to develop their complete business strategy, understand the importance of Where to Play. Within WTP, one component is the customer, as all customers are not created equal - not all customers are right for your business. For example, when I was President of Bacardi Canada, we revised our customer WTP within on-premise, to focus on the small premium chains and independents. We would have been at a strategic disadvantage with large chains, trying to compete with Diageo. With smaller chains and independents, our experienced in-house on-premise sales force could develop deeper customer connections, where Diageo simply was not interested in trying to enter. With more premium accounts, our portfolio of brands like Grey Goose, Bombay Sapphire and Bacardi represented a better fit, for them and us. Back in 2012, accounts like Muzik, Canoe, Harbour 60, in Toronto, were accounts where we had strong relationships, brand exposure and sales - and they also operated as lighthouse accounts, providing reinforcement of a premium brand positioning. Think through WTP across all elements of your business (who, what, where, through who), with through who being the customer.

Nothing can compensate for a lack of respect and support. Remember, distributors are not just another sales outlet; they are your business partners in each market. The more you invest in and support this relationship, the more success you will achieve. Such a constructive relationship motivates distributors to go above and beyond in marketing and selling your products, directly boosting your brand’s growth and reach. ?? Avoiding the Pitfalls of Transactional Relationships: A purely transactional view where distributors are seen as just another sales avenue can breed resentment. If a brewery starts wondering, "Why aren't they selling more?" without understanding the distributor's challenges and market conditions, it creates a divide. This often leads to distributors prioritizing other brands that value a collaborative approach. ??
