In this Insights session we explored an example of the challenges mobile banking teams face to ensure customers travel the journey successfully when UI changes are made. For this review we used data from Santander UK customers to explore where improvements could be made in app #customerexperience. We analyzed customer feedback (public review data from the mobile app channel) to identify key themes and pain points. Using our AI Analytics platform, we can visualize different customer comments, providing a detailed perspective on critical areas for performance measurement. One notable pain point, customers focused on was the #mobileapp layout, comparing the new version to the old version. This revealed complaints about the interface and layout changes. As designers, we’re often up against limited time and resources. That’s where the ???????????? ??????????????????, or the ????/???? ????????, comes in handy. This concept suggests that 80% of results come from just 20% of efforts. Understanding this can help us focus on what truly matters in our design projects. For example, while working on a mobile banking app, it was found that 80% of user interactions were centered around just four key features: checking balances, transferring funds, paying bills, and viewing transaction history. By prioritizing these functions, it significantly enhanced the user experience, leading to a 40% increase in daily active users and a 25% drop in customer support inquiries. Applying the Pareto Principle allows us to streamline our design process, ensuring that our efforts have the highest impact. It’s all about working smarter, not harder.
