Ready for some good news!!??!! The state of Delaware is #4 in FAFSA Completion rate! I am really proud and excited that, through my business, I am on the Stand By Me NexGen team that is one of the most significant reasons that close to 60% of Delaware high school students have completed a 24-25 FAFSA application. ....during the WORST FAFSA SEASON EVER - UUGG!! We were instrumental in getting Pell grants for so many students who qualified! Delaware is #4 and we are not a "Universal FAFSA State" - meaning completing the FAFSA is not a requirement for high school graduation. Two of the states in front of Delaware are Universal FAFSA states so you would almost expect good results under that circumstance. So how did we do it...you ask... 1. Dedicated, trained staff committed to regular training and professional development 2. Significant time spend developing relationships with our amazing public high school partners. We accommodated the schedule of the school in every way possible and listened to the needs of the school staff, students and families. 3. Using technology to our advantage. We complement the in person workshop sessions and presentations held at schools with individual FAFSA appointments via Zoom. In some cases we have had over 100 appointments in a month!
