The Verizon 2024 Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR) has been published and KordaMentha has once again been honoured to contribute key #databreach and #cybersecurity statistics to one of the largest annual studies on #cybersecurity and #privacy in the world. The report analysed 30,458 real-world security incidents and over 10,000 data breaches across 94 economies. My colleagues Brendan Read, Vishka Peiris and I have distilled some of the key findings from the DBIR into the KordaMentha Insights piece below. Particularly for the Australian context, we need to get out of this "she'll be right" mentality and start taking #cybersecurity and #cyber #governance more seriously.
