Shield machine cutter drive composition and usage description The cutter drive is firmly connected to the flange on the front shield pressure bulkhead by bolts, which can enable the cutter to achieve 0-6.1rpm stepless speed change in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions. The cutter drive mainly consists of 8 sets of transmission pairs and main gearboxes. Each transmission pair consists of a bevel axis variable axial piston motor and a water-cooled speed change gearbox. One of the transmission pairs has a brake device in the speed change gearbox for braking the cutter. A quantitative spiral hydraulic pump installed on the right side of the front shield pressure bulkhead drives the gear oil in the main gearbox to lubricate the main gearbox. A water-cooled gear oil cooler in the oil circuit is used to cool the gear oil.

But there are 2 problems to solve: 1. The cost should be reduced to the same level as belt drive. 2. It should meet the needs of installation in the workplace. Use a specially designed ZY gear reducer and disc-type motor, whose overall size is similar to that of the large pulley or sprocket, and place it in the position of the large pulley to solve problem 2. The weight of the ZY gear reducer is much smaller than that of the large pulley. Since the ZY gear reducer does not require heat treatment of the gear surface and can use carbon steel and cast iron instead of alloy steel, the cost of the ZY gear reducer can still be lower than 2 pulleys + belts, making it competitive in the market. This solves problem 1.
