On Tuesday, we hosted a field day for our staff, distributors, and local retailers. We were able to dodge the rain long enough to share our terroir-focused vision and approach to making our whiskies amongst our wheat and rye fields just a few miles from our distillery. Jochum Wiersma from the University of Minnesota was on site to talk about their work in small grains breeding and research. Jochum has helped us select the varieties we are growing to make our whiskies. We finished the night back at the distillery for tours and a sneak peak tasting of our bourbon.
