As three of my favorite humans working in this space - Diane Stephenson, Sarah A., and Yuge Xiao - state so clearly in this brilliant new Pharmaceutical Executive piece, "Digital health technologies offer exciting new opportunities to accelerate research, enhance clinical care, and ultimately improve outcomes for those living with Parkinson's Disease." Our ability to harness the potential of digital health technologies for Parkinson's disease hinges on our collective commitment to collaboration and open science. These principles are not just buzzwords, but the key to developing tools that are equitable, ethical, and trusted by all stakeholders-patients, clinicians, regulators, and payers. I'm incredibly proud of the collaboration between Critical Path Institute (C-Path), The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, and the Digital Medicine Society (DiMe), which created the catalog of evidence-based digital health products for Parkinson's disease within our Library of Digital Measurement Products. Check out the library here ?? https://lnkd.in/eb2h2FC5 and join us in maintaining this resource for the field by submitting new tools as our community releases them. And if you're looking for a bit of inspiration this morning, check out Diane, Sarah, and Yuge's piece here ???https://lnkd.in/eESRDFxw

?????????????????? ???????????????? ???? ???????????????????? ?????? ???????????? ???? ????????????????????, ?????? ?????? ???????? ?????????????????? ?????????????? ????????????????. While we've made significant strides in understanding the genetic underpinnings of diseases and developing targeted therapies, translating these discoveries into routine clinical practice presents substantial challenges. Data integration, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ethical considerations are just a few of the hurdles we must overcome. Additionally, ensuring equitable access to precision medicine for all patients is paramount. By fostering innovation, investing in research, and addressing these challenges head-on, we can accelerate the realization of personalized healthcare. I'm eager to connect with professionals who share my passion for precision medicine. Let's discuss how we can collaborate to shape the future of healthcare together. #precisionmedicine #healthcare #medicine #clinicalpractice #biomedicalresearch #innovation #healthcareaccess

?? Webinar Announcement: Improving Outcomes and Access to Precision Medicine??- https://lnkd.in/eSvkPZPG Despite groundbreaking advances in precision medicine, a critical gap remains: the lack of diverse representation in genomic data, leading to unequal healthcare outcomes—especially for people of color. ?? What is the impact? Genomic testing is a cornerstone of modern medicine, yet current databases are largely based on data from individuals of European descent. This leaves underrepresented populations at a disadvantage, with less effective treatments and limited access to life-saving innovations. ??What you’ll learn: 1?? Understanding the genomic testing gap and the structural barriers in healthcare 2?? How to advance precision medicine for all, ensuring inclusivity 3?? Practical strategies for improving access, including policy changes, community engagement, and innovative healthcare models ?? Date: Thursday, 21st November, 2024 ? Time: 12:00pm - 1:00pm ET ?? Location: Zoom (Register Here https://lnkd.in/eSvkPZPG) Let’s work together to create a healthcare system that serves everyone. #PrecisionMedicine #GenomicTesting #HealthEquity

There is so much potential for expanding #researchimpact in consortium projects. Just finished a structured dialogue, a process of collective thinking that is much more effective than #brainstorming, with the P4O2 - Precision Medicine for more Oxygen consortium which is a public/private partnership funded by Health~Holland They have completed a study with a #longcovid cohort and now the opportunity is to do follow on analysis beyond the initial set of papers. I clustered the existing papers, papers in development and ideas around papers using a number of different themes. I then added the initial results of analysis as well as an overview of the data available. The consortium was then asked to add ideas that connected or related to the different papers and concepts. The result? Ten ideas for analyses/papers in 5 minutes. That is two a minute! We are of course going to continue this effort, but it shows the potential of #collectiveintelligence to widen the impact of research.
