International Trade Centre and European Union to support The Gambia’s tourism and creative industries The five-year Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) Tourism, set to launch in January 2025, will improve the competitiveness, inclusiveness and sustainability of the tourism and creative industries to achieve inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Funded by the European Union, the $10million project will be implemented by ITC in partnership with the Government of The Gambia and local and international business support organizations and institutions. The MoU outlines collaborations between PATA and EATOF to enhance participation in each association's events, share sustainable practices, and facilitate joint educational and tourism initiatives. Founded in 2000 by 9 East Asian local governments led by Gangwon State, EATOF aims to expand membership, strengthen cooperation, and promote active exchanges.
