This week, Wilson Station welcomed the employees of Kenergy Corp for a behind-the-scenes tour of how power is made for western Kentucky. Kenergy is one of three electric cooperatives that own Big Rivers. Here's how the system works - Big Rivers' power plants generate safe and reliable energy for the three cooperatives, and Kenergy delivers the electricity to more than 59,000 homes and businesses. While cooperatives, like Kenergy, are experts in providing electricity to people, an in-depth power plant tour helps build knowledge of how the energy production process starts. Wilson Station is a prime location for hosting tours and answering questions on how the Ohio County power plant generates 417 MW of valuable energy for our region. #cooperative #powerplant #energy #electricity #Kentucky
