Road cycling and investor meetings don't go together? Those who have attended our Stockpicker Summits know that the opposite is true. That's why we're launching a new format: ???????? ?????????????? ?????? ?? ?????????????♂? Our concept consists of two components: 1. Investor meetings with a twist We bring European investors together with exciting listed companies. And where better to do this than on a road bike? Admittedly, conversations aren't ideal during an ascent, but they're all the better over a bite to eat afterwards or on the flat sections. 2. Every kilometer counts?? To ensure that not only the tour participants benefit but also people in need of help, we will set a charitable cause in advance. Everyone can then decide for themselves how much to donate per kilometer completed. The minimum pledge is €1. The locations will vary. We'll start with ???Mallorca! Cyclists know the island is the perfect spot for this format. There are only two conditions: No e-bikes and no Rabobank jerseys :) I am already looking forward to the first rides together. Taking a Pit Stop: Detoxing from Work and Racing for a Cause ????? Last year, I swapped my desk for a helmet and race suit jumping into a solo 2-hour endurance go-kart race for charity. It was an unforgettable experience - exhilarating, challenging, tiring and exactly what I needed to hit the reset button. When people ask if I won, I have to laugh - I had no chance! I was up against a Hamilton (not that Hamilton, but close enough! Nicholas is still a GOAT). Still, the real victory was raising funds for a cause close to my heart and reminding myself how important it is to step back from the grind. This year, I’m lining up another race for September, and I can’t wait to do it all over again. These moments of pure fun and excitement, especially when tied to giving back, are the perfect antidote to burnout. They help me recharge, refocus, and return to work sharper and more motivated. So here’s my challenge to you: What’s your version of this? Whether it’s hiking, playing football, cycling, volunteering, or just taking time for something you love, make it happen. Find something that excites you, pushes you, and makes a positive impact—you’ll thank yourself later. The London Marathon ballot results will be dropping tomorrow. If you get accepted, please remember that you are extremely fortunate to get a place. The chances are very slim, as the demand for these places is far higher than ever. Respect the event, the training that is required, and embrace the incredible journey which will lead you to the start line on the 27th April 2025. If you don’t get a place, then run for a charity. Do not let the fundraising put you off. I appreciate things are tough at the moment, and fundraising may be a little harder. Replace the narrative of I “have” to fundraise ￡2000 to run the London Marathon, to I “get” to fundraise to change the lives of others as well as my own. If you want to run a marathon for yourself, for a quick time, and have no interest in raising money for charity, then pick something else. Want to run the greatest marathon and biggest fundraiser on the planet? Then don’t whine about fundraising. The experience is priceless, and easily worth the effort of some well timed emails, cake sales, quiz nights, or more creative methods. It’s life changing. If you’re running with one of my charities, then you are going to get my everything to get you on that start-line. This picture was taken on the morning of the 2019 event. Well over 500 runners raising over ￡1.4million for disabled children. It’s always very humbling, and quite emotional, to say my last words to these teams before they take on the streets of London.
