We look back and remember delightful mornings in Almedalen. ? A year ago, we kicked off three days during Almedalen with brain-smart training, offering both morning exercise ??♀? and knowledge ??. Vibeke Stadling (Change Manager and expert within sustainable work-life) led both the training session and the knowledge session, focusing on brain-smart work and the Healthy Mind Platter. It was a really great way to start the mornings, and so nice to see so many people turning up and taking part. ?? Unfortunately, this year, we are unable to conduct our brain-smart morning training in Almedalen. However, instead of training with Vibeke, you can start your day by listening to her as she converses with Carina S?derlund from M?lardalen University. Learn more about outdoor work ???? and take the opportunity to practice it during the week at Almedalen. For example, consider a walk-and-talk with a newfound contact. Karin St?hl (Managing Director at Drees & Sommer Sweden) will be on-site at Almedalen during the week and would be happy to have a walk-and-talk with you! With her, you can, for example, discuss sustainable buildings and workplaces while practicing outdoor work. ????♂? ?? Hana Grey Lynn—what a haven of tranquility! Every corner of the space seemed to whisper relaxation, inviting creativity to flow effortlessly. Walking into Hana's space was like stepping into another world, a little alcove away from hustle and bustle of daily life. The serene environment, with its minimalist design, natural light, and soft, calming colors, instantly put me at ease. It was a reminder of how powerful our surroundings can be in nurturing our wellbeing. Imagine if our workplaces could offer similar spaces where we can pause, reflect, and recharge. To some, this might be just a chair. But to others, it's a symbol of workplace flexibility and well-being. Recently, we added a picnic table at work. Being able to step outside for a breath of fresh air and a change of scenery during the day is a game-changer. For me, it is refreshing and helps boost my mood and creativity. This also got me thinking about the spot at my previous employer where we had a cozy outdoor space with comfy chairs for zen and relaxation. As an event planner, these areas help me chill out and make sure all my "ducks are in a row" before the big day. These spots also help me organize my thoughts and stay on top of things. It's not just about the physical workspace; it's about the message it sends—that flexibility and well-being matters.
