Troy Bank and Trust team members, Brian Snyder and Steve Ogburn and his wife Beverly, recently partnered with the Food Bank of East Alabama and the Auburn Kiwanis to support the community. They participated in the "backpack program," which helps provide food to children in the Auburn, Opelika, and Lee County school systems. This initiative helps ensure that students in need have meals to take home over the weekend, bridging the gap when school meals aren't available.

This holiday season, we're proud to reflect on the difference SCAN has made in the community throughout 2024. By year-end, SCAN will have awarded a total of $1.3 million to support older adults across California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and New Mexico. Here are some of the ways we're taking action as Rebels with a cause: ? $1 million awarded to date to vital local services and community support for older adults, addressing nutrition, aging support, transportation, and other basic needs. ? $270K to be allocated as part of SCAN's seasonal community giving program to support vulnerable older adults and strengthen communities where they live. ? Funding of essential items like warm clothing, food, and hygiene products to older adults in need. ? Support of local campaigns and social and specialized programs, including group and holiday-themed activities, designed to foster community connections and combat loneliness and isolation during the holidays.

Part 2: So then as I am working as a volunteer, I am assigned a co volunteer, and subsequently others, who are going through salvation army or others programs to overcome life challenges. Have already worked with the like, individual passions in the exclusive value of each hooters girl and then I put one who needs their help in front of them. And what better motive. It brings out the passions, it matured the ability of all of them when it came to their discernment because they exercise their skills with each other according to scripture in the book of Hebrews. So all parties come outside of their barriers that have prohibited them from moving forward in these specific areas in their life and by it all of them have motivated each other. This motivates every other person that walks in and deals with those hooters girl today or who they're going to run into in school or their boyfriends or whatever else. It has an impact on everyone the young man from the halfway house is going to impact today as he is volunteering for Tampa Bay harvest and all the others in his halfway house and in his sphere of influence.... So now take that concept and rearrange it and put it into a cab company and the concept of the 10% of the people that get in my cab that are at rock bottom... So can I rebuild the same concept in an area where there is no Hooters, Cookeville Tennessee? Can I do it with girls from trap houses and from the streets and among the working poor? Will this motivate them out of their challenges in the same way it does the Hooters girls who are in college degree programs and doing something very valuable with their lives in Tampa? This is 1-800 save a girl. This is the new authentic Santa clause and the development of such a mission to confront broken family issues to overcome cycles of poverty that come from the broken family as a human resources initiative.

This Holiday Weekend marked the LAST DAY of the 100 Deadliest Days of Summer. This period begins on Memorial Day every year and marks the period when, statistically, teen drivers are most likely to die in a car crash. Or, as BIAAZ knows all too well, teenage survivors of vehicle accidents become lifelong brain injury survivors. We happily added our voice to those of a coalition of nonprofits that aimed to make teens safer during this fraught part of summer. And we’re not alone! Happily, we can end this awareness campaign on a bright note by announcing The 100 Safest Days campaign—the new name for this extraordinary awareness campaign to keep teen drivers safe. We fully support @We Save Lives, the organization driving this vital movement's impetus. If you or your organization want to join BIAAZ’s advocacy efforts in keeping teens safe during the 100 Safest Days campaign next year, visit biaaz.org and click contact us. Here’s some more information on the NEW teen driver safety awareness campaign: https://lnkd.in/gEYhjQDk -

Think about the last time you were in a crisis. How did you feel? Anxious? Scared? Confused? Now, imagine yourself feeling that same way for days, even months, on end. That is reentry. That is how folks feel when they reenter our communities following incarceration. Oftentimes, the world is significantly different than how they’d experienced it before. Reentry is a crisis but it doesn’t have to be. At RISE, we navigate the reentry crisis one step at a time alongside our graduates. We amplify the voices of budding entrepreneurs and hug the family members of incarcerated loved ones tighter than ever. We advocate for equity in the Nebraska Legislature and take a moment to breathe with a friend at 11:00 PM when it’s all just become too much. We meet our graduates and their loved ones wherever necessary to ensure successful reentry, and we’re the only organization in the state doing it our way. Withness (yes, we made that up). Grit. Tough love. We lead with these transformative values that have resonated most with our graduates. These values have made us family. Join the RISE family today by making a contribution to our work: https://lnkd.in/gk5bGXiX. Your gift will allow us to increase our impact across numerous channels. From reentry to voting rights, a gift to RISE ensures that our graduates have the tools necessary to achieve success within our communities, within their families, and within themselves.

?? Struggles don’t define you—they shape you. At Celtic Financial Planning Ltd, our latest Christmas campaign is about more than just giving; it’s about creating hope. This year, we’re supporting three families who are facing incredibly difficult circumstances. ?? For me, this campaign is deeply personal. Producing the accompanying video was one of the hardest things I’ve done. It brought back memories of my own childhood struggles, while also highlighting the challenges these families endure today. Just hours before filming, I learned that one of the families’ grandfathers had been given a terminal diagnosis and would be spending his last Christmas with them. That news hit me hard. The video is raw because so are the emotions behind it. As a child, I saw my parents sacrifice everything to ensure my brother and I had what we needed. I’ll never forget my dad breaking down as he handed me £20, saying it was all he had for Christmas. Those experiences taught me two things: to work hard and to always be grateful. They also instilled in me a drive to give back, which is why community and charity are central to my business philosophy. ?? I firmly believe that we rise by lifting others. That’s not a typical corporate mantra in financial services—and honestly, I don’t care. For me, success isn’t measured in profit margins or awards; it’s measured in the lives we touch. ?? One family shared this message with me: “We felt like humanity had left us, but a stranger paying for Christmas has restored our faith in kindness.” If you can, help others. It doesn’t have to be grand—sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness leave the greatest impact.
?? Celebrating the Spirit of Giving with Celtic Financial Planning ?? This holiday season, we at Celtic Financial Planning are committed to spreading joy and making a significant difference in our community. We've partnered with NEWCIS Carers Centre to support three local families who have faced significant challenges, ensuring they experience the magic of Christmas. ?? In our latest video, "Bringing Joy: How We're Funding Christmas for Three Local Families," we invite you to witness the powerful impact of kindness. Watch as we share their stories and the emotional journey of our Christmas campaign. ?? See the real difference community support can make and join us in bringing hope back to those who need it most. Let's remind each other of the true meaning of the holiday season. #ChristmasSpirit #GivingBack #CelticFinancialPlanning #CommunitySupport
