The VCC Act has amended the solvency test outlined in the Companies Act 2001. Now employing a two-part approach, it assesses the VCC's ability to meet financial obligations during regular operations and whether its asset value surpasses liabilities, including potential ones. The solvency test considers factors like recent financial statements, circumstances known to directors impacting asset and liability values, reasonableness of valuations, likelihood of contingencies, and the handling of legitimate claims and contingent liabilities.
