Thank you, Divergent and Czinger Vehicles veterans, for your service. Yesterday, November 10th, was the birthay of the United States Marine Corps. It reminded me of my service as an enlisted infantry rifleman in the Marine Corps Reserves. I will never forget my Senior Drill Instructor, (then) Staff Sergeant Robert Romero, at Parris Island. The lessons I learned there left an indelible mark on the rest of my life. The 11 USMC leadership principles include: 1.Know yourself and seek self-improvement. 2.Be technically and tactically proficient. 3.Know your people and look out for their welfare. 4.Keep your personnel informed. 5.Set the example. 6.Ensure the task is understood, supervised, and accomplished. 7.Train your Marines (and Sailors) as a team. 8.Make sound and timely decisions. 9.Develop a sense of responsibility among your subordinates. 10.Employ your command within its capabilities. 11.Seek responsibilities and take responsibility. My daughter came across it while flipping through my old collection at home, and it reminded me of the small but essential lessons we learn in the military. The manual goes on with practical advice on washing clothes in the field, repairing a rip, and even sewing on a button. It’s simple, rugged, and practical—just like the values of those who served before us. This Veterans Day, I’m honoring the generations of resilient, self-sufficient Americans who paved the way, passing on a legacy of grit, resourcefulness, and determination. Their values shaped my path, as they did for so many others. Take a moment today to reflect on those who came before us—and, if you can, talk to a veteran. Honoring Our Veterans Today and Every Day Today’s a day to take a step back and remember the real meaning of service. Veterans Day isn’t just about honoring those who wore the uniform, it’s about recognizing the sacrifices they and their families have made along the way. Each veteran carries stories of grit and resilience. These aren’t just tales of bravery; they’re reminders of what it means to put others first, face down challenges, and keep going, no matter what. Every single veteran, whether they served in combat or kept things moving at home, played a role that deserves respect and gratitude. For me Veterans Day is a personal thing. When I talk about veterans I’m talking about my friends and family. My family was largely a military family until my generation. I was the only member of my generation to serve. My dad, stepdad, and all my grandpas served in the Navy or Air Force. I was a bit of a rebel and joined the Army. Which unfortunately led to a medical discharge due to a heart condition before I could complete my service. But that experience gave me a more profound respect of service members and the sacrifices they make that we never even think about. That's why after meeting with David Pere of From Military to Millionare and realizing how many veteran and active duty investors there are, I decided to start offering a 15% discount for all Aegis RSI services to active duty military and veterans. It isn't much but it is the first step on a long road I was want to take supporting our troops. How We Can Make a Difference Listen and Learn – Reach out, ask questions, and really hear their stories. Sometimes just listening is the biggest way to show you care. Support Veteran Causes – From career transition to mental health initiatives, there are tons of ways to get involved and show your support. Small Gestures, Big Impact – A genuine “thank you” or offering your help when it’s needed goes a long way. To all who have served, thank you. Your courage and commitment continue to inspire, and we’re grateful for everything you’ve done and still do to make our world a better place. #VeteransDay

Motivation Monday – Honoring Veterans' Sacrifice Today, on Veterans Day, we are reminded of the commitment and sacrifice that our soldiers have made for this country. They didn’t just show up; they dedicated themselves fully to something larger than themselves. That kind of courage and discipline is a powerful example for all of us in our work and our lives. If there’s one thing we can take from the service and sacrifice of veterans, it’s that we owe it to ourselves, our teams, and our customers to never settle. Sales reps should always be pushing to improve, never letting the status quo or a light calendar hold them back. And managers, let’s drive our teams to this same standard—because excellence isn’t an option; it’s a duty. Veterans didn’t serve halfway, and we cannot perform halfway. The blank space on a calendar is wasted potential, and settling for “good enough” is a disservice to the opportunities in front of us.
