The value of slowing down can seem counterintuitive. Like you need to get those things finished then you take that moment. Consider that taking a pause first helps all those other things shift. Your clarity comes back on line. Taking that pause. Where your breath deepens naturally. Your shoulders drop away from your ears. Your gaze softens. Your mind gets quieter. The thoughts floating across become observations of the present moment. The sky. Your body. The sun. The smells. The sounds.
