Be patient and stay positive. One of many takeaways from the conversation Linda V?eras and I had with the brilliant Ondrej Bartos from Credo Ventures. In this episode we dove into the learnings Ondrej has had over his nearly 20 years in Venture, watching first hand the rise in CEE, roles on the board and how to continuously improve. Rarely seen in venture, Ondrej was an early investor in UiPath and remained on the board until just prior to it's IPO. There are too many nuggets from this podcast to list out but relationships and empathy is what shone through: - "Meaningful relationships is what matters, that includes founders we don't invest in. We should be giving feedback to every founder because long term this will pay out." - "People matter more than markets and products." Go give it a listen !

I founded Taxi121 in 2013 in Delhi/NCR that later got acquired. And, so have seen this market closely. The only other competitors were all Indian origin companies including Olacabs, Taxiforsure & Meru. It was definitely a journey as an attempt to organise the fragmented cab market at the time when there were no international players like Uber in the scene. With their very first launch though in the luxury cab segment, customers expected high quality of passenger experience. However, years into it we now see poorly maintained cars amongst many other issues that are visible to the end customers from all these companies. This is because they are competing only on two things (price & availability). To the investors, they see low profitability as there is an internal battle to get the service providers(taxi drivers & vendors) on their side with guaranteed monthly assurances. I am keeping a close watch on BluSmart's business model for now. As it seems to change that to a certain extent.
