Kicking off the Spring 2024 Semester at University of California, Berkeley, I've been blessed with a series of incredible experiences! ?? Had the amazing opportunity to engage in software engineering endeavors for Meta through a project contract via Codebase Software Development Club. My team and I have dedicated ourselves all semester long to optimizing FBGEMM (Facebook GEneral Matrix Multiplication), Meta’s server-side, high-performance kernel library for machine learning workloads.?? Deployed at scale and deeply integrated into the Pytorch OSS ecosystem, the FBGEMM delivers optimized on-CPU performance for quantized matrix multiplication and convolution operations, enhancing Meta's AI services such as Rosetta, English-to-Spanish translation, and the recommendation system used in feeds.
