New post. Simply tracking adults per house, there was a long-term linear trend from1965 to 2008, from about 1.89 to 1.65. Then, in 2008, it abruptly reversed. It is now back up to 1.76. Just getting back to the 2008 level would require about 11 million new homes, above replacement rate. To get back to the trend, it would take about 20 million additional units. There is an unfathomable amount of pent up demand for new homes. We can meet that demand or destroy ourselves blocking it. https://lnkd.in/gJPqw2mN
