Something to think about

For #WorldStatisticsDay, we share this important statistic from our last impact report. While we feel an immense sense of pride in these numbers, our impact cannot be communicated with numbers alone. You need to feel the grateful handshakes and watch the genuine smiles grow across the faces of our resilient Veterans. You need to see the tears in the eyes of a Veteran and their family when you hand them the keys to their new apartment. You need to experience the long hours and late nights that our amazing team puts in to make our mission a reality. Our work is not about adding zeros to statistics- it’s about the Veterans. It’s about those moments, big and small, that illustrate our contributions to people’s lives. Crisis, such as the tragic fires in and around Ruidoso, reveal the character of people and businesses. Such as the extreme leadership of MATI’s Godfrey Enjady working tirelessly with friends, such as PVT’s James Meyers, to restore vital communications within and outside of their own service areas. Or the local businesses working together to meet the needs of those impacted. Local businesses matter and will be there when needed.
