At @BEDSPlusCare, outreach is a lifeline, connecting individuals experiencing homelessness with critical resources and services. Zac Catrambone, our Outreach Manager, plays a crucial role in this effort, guiding people toward stability and support. Leading #BEDSPlus' Outreach Team and managing the #WalkInProgram at the Summit Service Center, Zac and his team meet clients wherever they are—on the streets, in their cars, or at the Summit Service Center. "Outreach is about meeting people where they are, helping them figure out their next step, and connecting them to services," Zac explains. "One day, that might mean securing emergency shelter, the next, navigating rental assistance programs." For Zac, the relationships he builds with clients are key to his work. "You spend time listening to people’s stories, and over time, you build trust,” Zac says. “That trust allows us to help people make real progress, to get off the street and into a safe, stable environment.” To read Zac's entire story, visit our website: https://lnkd.in/g7X3HNWq #HomelessnessSupport #OutreachMatters #ChangingLives #BuildingTrust #SupportiveServices #CommunityImpact #BEDSPlusCare

??? Attention Florida Realtors and Real Estate Professionals! ??? Did you know that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has announced nearly $134 million in funding for over 300 projects in Florida to help the homeless? This is part of a nationwide $3.16 billion initiative aimed at addressing homelessness and providing support to those in need. ?? The funding will benefit programs across the state, ranging from large-scale housing projects to technology operations. ?? The total distribution for Florida alone will be an impressive $133,832,958. ?? In a time when rates of homelessness are rising in most communities, this is a critical expansion of resources. The 2023 awards also include approximately $57 million for projects supporting survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. As real estate and marketing professionals, we play a crucial role in our communities. Let's take a moment to reflect on the impact we can make and the positive change we can contribute to: ?? How can we support these initiatives and collaborate with organizations working to end homelessness? ?? Vista's new homeless shelter is set to open soon. We were invited to apply but unfortunately had to decline due to state funding requiring a drug-allowed shelter. This same issue has plagued other areas, with calls for low barrier drug-allowed shelters and taxpayer-funded drug housing. While these initiatives may seem well-intentioned, the reality is that not even one low barrier shelter has reduced homelessness. At Solutions for Change, we unabashedly set high standards because we believe in the God-given potential of each and every soul we serve. Our goal is not just to serve individuals, but to empower them to become overcomers. We pray for Retread Inc and their leadership, and for the shelter users that they see their worth and get into a sobriety-based program. Remember, it's not about the numbers served, but the numbers who no longer need service. Let's work together to serve and solve. #WeAreOneUs #ServeToSolve #SolutionsForChange #MakeOvercomers #CrushTheChurn

Sunstone Way reassures the community we serve that, regardless of the election outcome, we remain committed to the work ahead. Now more than ever, it is important for us to stand united and stay focused on our shared values of courage, integrity, community, and grace. Hate and the vilification of our unsheltered community have no place in a just and compassionate society. Our neighbors experiencing houselessness deserve safety, empathy, and the right to be treated with kindness.? At Sunstone Way, our mission has always been to serve with resilience, to advocate for those who need it most, and to work for a future where our unhoused neighbors have access to the resources, support, and dignity they deserve. We are dedicated to continuing this work — strengthening our community, amplifying voices, and creating real, sustainable change for those facing homelessness and housing insecurity.? Through collaboration, hope, and lots of hard work, we will remain strong in our commitment to create a sustainable sense of home for those we serve. We will continue paving a path to hope & housing by delivering low-barrier shelter services that respect the dignity and rights of each person in our care. Homelessness is not just a housing issue — it’s a reflection of systemic gaps in healthcare, mental health support, economic inequality, and access to resources. This is a call to action for all of us, from local communities to policymakers, to work together in innovative ways that prioritize compassion, dignity, and sustainable support systems. We are optimistic that our new city leaders and the mayor will recognize the impact our work is having throughout the city. We look forward to working alongside them to develop attainable and sustainable solutions.??- Andy Goebel, Sunstone Way CEO

?? URGENT: Help Displaced Community Members in Williamson County ?? We’re reaching out on behalf of those of us who recently lost our only refuge after a fire destroyed a property where the homeless community had been finding shelter. Despite this being one of the few safe spaces in our area, we’ve all been denied emergency services by local organizations, including the Red Cross of Williamson County, due to complicated property issues. Many of us were unaware of any legal complications; we simply sought a place for refuge. This six-acre property, largely neglected for years, became a shelter for those without other options. this property had become a nuisance to the county and yes it was a fire hazard. Illegal dumping occurred on a regular basis and the homeless population was, once again forced into victimization, expected to run the land like an active junkyard. To make themselves look better, the current owners are denying anyone had permission to live on the land to avoid any and all liability. There were trust and title issues that most of us weren't aware of, and the current owner on title said no one had permission to live there. Although some individuals had been there for years, taking care of the land and trying to make it safe, they're now facing the devastating effects of the fire without any emergency support. This crisis highlights a larger issue: the disproportionate treatment of vulnerable populations. Homelessness is a global issue, and this situation serves as a call to action for better support systems. Displaced people deserve fair and compassionate treatment regardless of property status. We need immediate help advocating for emergency aid from the Red Cross and local organizations to help us rebuild our lives. Please stand with us to ensure all people are treated with dignity, fairness, and humanity. #StandWithTheHomeless #RedCross #RedCrossOfWilliamsonCounty #EmergencyAidForAll #RedCrossSupport #WilliamsonCounty #AmyBTrippinYo #HomelessnessAwareness #HumanRights #EndHomelessness #SafeShelter #EqualTreatment #CommunitySupport #HousingForAll #HauntedTexasThemePark

Everyone deserves a place to call home. It’s heartbreaking to think that so many people in our communities are struggling without shelter, safety, and a sense of stability. That’s why it’s so important to support efforts like the one in Lenexa to create a Homeless Services Center. This center would provide critical resources to those who need it most—offering not just a roof, but hope for a better tomorrow. Please take a moment to support the petition to persuade the Lenexa City Council to approve the Special Use Permit for this center. It could be a game-changer for so many lives. It takes just a few seconds to sign, and it could make all the difference. Imagine if it were you or someone you love. Everyone deserves dignity, and everyone deserves a place to call home. Let’s make sure no one is left behind. Your support matters! #EveryoneDeservesAHome #SupportTheHomeless #CommunityMatters #TakeAction #trusttheprocess https://lnkd.in/guw-_Ksg
