They also verify that all the pipes and all equipments can handle the pressure and flow of fluids. Commissioning & Start-up: Once everything is ready, the unit/plant is slowly introduced with raw feeds & started up. This involves gradually turning on different systems and monitoring how they work together. Experts & Engineers make sure everything is running smoothly and adjust settings as needed. Normal operations: Finally, when all the systems are working correctly, the plant begins producing oil and gas. Throughout this entire process, safety is of utmost top priority.

?? *In my previous post, a connection requested for a video about, what i do as a Process Field Operator* ?? While that video recording remains imminent, stay with me while i walk you down on my daily plant Operations after proper shift handover. As a Process Field Operator, my day revolves around ensuring the smooth and safe operation of complex process equipment. Here's a roughly glimpse into my daily routine: ?? Equipment Operations: I manage, Operate and monitor Gas Turbine, Compressors, Fired Heaters, and Pipeline lining up and isolations, Pumps, among several equipments ensuring they operate efficiently. And it involves lining up, isolating, starting up, and shutting down equipment in line with safety practices and regulations. ?? Critical Operations: Operations like pigging, Purging, Priming and topping turbine oil are key tasks, I radio maintenance team for lubrication SOP are duely followed, alongside monitoring generators and overall facility operations. ? *Routine Checks: Daily duties include checking isolation valve statuses and MCC switch gear, Taking Operator rounds, and inspecting safety equipment to ensure everything is compliant and operational. Including taking Operational area logs. ??? Control System Management: I Sequentially adjust Valves, and all electronic computerized equipment performance/RPM from the HMI to match operating/ production requirements ?? Safety: I Facilitate work permits for maintenance activities and proudly uphold the role of Facility Site Representative to ensure a safe work environment, always observing HSE and OE regulations. I ensure that any non-compliance is corrected and promptly reported. SAFETY FIRST. The Oga pkatakpata of them all is Maintenance?? ?? Maintenance: Here, the permit and isolation certificate is raised in Control room by the S.E, and I approve, then I proceed to first line/positive isolations and Prepare the equipment for maintenance, followed by zero energy demonstration and then handover of the equipment. This Operations is applicable in any process plant globally, Chevron, TotalEnergies, etc. In this field, every day brings new challenges and learning opportunities. Peace ??.

The best part about a callout, is learning and experiencing different shutdowns on different types of compressors. Troubleshooting and starting units back up. While developing better communication skills as you report back to your team and contractors by email, phone call, txt, etc. While you make a little extra $! But remember safety first.
