#businesscontinuity lessons abound, you just have to see them and fortunately(?) my brain is wired for that. I just came back from a weekend of skiing in West Virginia. Hey, there is nothing driveable around me that's a better option. ?? When I first started skiing in high school, I was pretty good and a fast learner. I only went skiing at Hunter Mountain in NY, so a glorified hill. Then 10 yrs of nothing. Then I was stationed out west. Time to ski again! I stuck to the greens to knock cobwebs off. I was invited to take the lift to the top of Mt Hood. Yes, that Mt Hood. It showed there was a green trail up there. OK! I quickly learned green doesn't mean "easy," it means "easiest of your options"...which sometimes isn't easy at all. It took me 45 min of plowing down the mountain, leg muscles burned to filth. I think business continuity is easy. Doing it, though, can be more complicated based on your circumstances, but it's always easiest of the options when compared with a double-black diamond of a disaster when you aren't prepared.
