Ever heard of Slack? What if I told you it started as a failed video game? Yup! The founders spent years building an online game, but it flopped—big time. But instead of giving up, they pivoted ... The internal tool they built to communicate while making the game? That became Slack. Now it’s one of the fastest-growing business apps in history, worth billions. Here’s the lesson: Your first idea might not work. Your second might not either. But staying in the game, learning, and adapting ... that’s where breakthroughs happen. ?? Keep building. Your pivot could be the next billion-dollar idea. ??

Would you like the ability to get a 60-second summary of any article in Slack? One of my favorite things we do at The Juice is use The Juice. We're currently testing a Slack integration. "/juiceit + your link" and voila...a 60-second summary. I would love any feedback on how you consume or would like to consume content via Slack. I tested a "random" piece of content below ?? ??

Our CTO, Charbel Seif ????, said something yesterday that stuck with me. "An angry user is a user who cares!" He's right. Feedback, good or bad, is helpful. And users who are upset or have hit a wall in your product, give you the best advice. Because I promise you, if one person is experiencing an issue and talking about it, many others are too but just aren’t speaking up. We’ve actually recently started using Canny to collect feedback and requests directly from customers - we also use it to send us updates directly to Slack. It’s a great tool and is helping us be even more customer-focused.

?? Cut the Slack and Get to Work ?? Slack might be okay if you're into juggling 12 tools and drowning in message threads. But we say, why settle for chaos when you can have clarity? ClickUp gives you one platform to rule them all – tasks, chats, docs, and more, all in one place. ??? Say goodbye to switching between apps and hello to a productivity powerhouse that your team will actually love. Slack: ?? Ping, ping, ping. ClickUp: ? Done, done, done. Still Slacking? Time to join the ClickUp revolution and actually get things done. ?? #CutTheSlack #ClickUp #ProductivityRevolution

Glide’s Experts Accelerator cohort kicks off next week. Common Room plays a key role in how I'm managing it as a team of one. Here's my setup... 1. A contact segment for Accelerator members 2. Slack onboarding workflow for that segment 3. Importing contacts from our Accelerator app Slack invites go out to everyone today. When they join Slack, I send them an automated -- but still personal! -- message, welcoming them to the group, pointing them to our private channel, and including my Cal booking link for 1:1 time. ?? #communitymanager #communitymanagement #automation #glideapps

Hey Experimenters! ?? You may know I've been immersed in building a full-scale Experimentation Management app for a while now. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced over the years as an experimentation strategist has been getting clients actively involved in the Experimentation process. Despite our efforts to simplify with dashboards and user-friendly forms, clients tend to stick to what they know, favoring platforms like Slack for even minor communication – whether it's asking for updates on test progress or sharing their experiment ideas. Whether it’s built on Airtables, Google Sheets, Monday, or Clickup, the struggle remains – clients never fully adopt these systems. I get it; they're juggling a million things, and introducing a new platform is a whole learning curve. The problem is, these systems become a barrier between us and our clients. They find them complex and default back to the familiarity of Slack. Now, I've never been the biggest fan of Slack and have been trying to transition clients away from it for a while. Important ideas often get lost in lengthy threads, and comments requesting tasks can easily be overlooked. Nothing in Slack is actionable and it leads to miscommunication and chaos for everyone. Then the other day, after reading a post from Shiva Manjunath at From A to B asking if prioritization frameworks are overrated, it hit me: What if they are? And what if Slack is not the enemy? So, here's the idea: What if we brought the entire Experimentation system into Slack? It feels like the most collaborative move. So, I built a prototype of a Slack Experimentation Bot to see if we can blend function with familiarity. It's still in the early stages, but I'm eager to hear your thoughts! Would a Slack Experimentation Bot make your life easier? Share your comments, and let's kick off a discussion. ?? #Experimentation?#CRO #Collaboration #FeedbackWelcome #Slack #bots #eccommerce #startup . https://lnkd.in/gagXtHVy

Getting this popup on Slack today and I feel this is wrong.. Clearly these features are table stakes for a productivity and communication tool. Almost doubling the price per seat. GitHub copilot is paid too, but that to me is different as it clearly is a power-up. In Slack's case the features they want me to pay for are solving inherent problems with the product, not a power-up. ...At the same time I guess that OpenAI bill is not paying itself
