How do we take a group of diverse people, with different backgrounds and beliefs, and create a culture where we can all work together harmoniously? The answer is our Core Values. If you have not established Core Values for your organization, I highly recommend that you take the time to think through the values that are meaningful for you. These should be the values that you are already living on a daily basis, not aspirational goals. Once they are established, make sure that everyone in the organization understands them, and are aligned. Then use them to hire, fire, and reward your team. Establishing our Core Values has been one of the single most important things we have done as a leadership team.
