The weather has been unseasonably cooler than usual at the Association for Learning Providers conference in Arizona but the conversations have been on fire. In between great sessions, the biggest value we get from being here is from the conversations we have with our peers. It’s great to spend some time on the other side of the table being in our own peer groups talking about the pressures of leading a business, the innovations that are coming with AI and everything in between. Community matters. One of the nuggets we picked up this week was from trust researcher David Horsager who shared that 9 out of 10 people feel that trust improves when we meet in person. Something to consider as we think about balancing the new hybrid work realities. What have you learned this week?

Another short Britepeer update: ?? Community x AI are two really hot spaces right now, and it's fun to be in there solving a problem I have as a community owner myself. The biggest questions Community managers have based on my conversations are: ?? How does our company know a community is working? ?? How do I keep track of all my members in +1000 community groups? ?? What do community members need from me to achieve their goal? From community members, I get a slightly different set of questions: ?? Will this community help me achieve my goal? How? ??How do I separate the signal and noise in a large community group and still get the benefits from it? ??The community hosts/company running the community doesn't have to have all the answers. Can I have the ability to pair up with peers and small groups inside a community? If you run a community and have some of these challenges, come talk to me! I'd love to see if you are a fit to be a pilot user of Britepeer.

Assisted Computing Is Changing Community Organizing The organized response we get at the time of making known what happened to us is shaping the future of our engagement. Community organizing starts or stops with communication. If there’s no communication agreement in place the conversation is worth much less by default. Most have learned that it’s in our best interest to know who to tell and what to expect from communication. Having the right contacts at the right time has proved to be an advantage. Having an organized policy set for what individuals say happened is crucial to community organizing. History has taught that formatting and connecting first party narratological account of what happened is still necessary for making scalable community organizing. Language, AI agents and the firsthand account of what happened to the individual are now 100% irreplaceable to community organizing.?

Earlier this week, the Growth minds community gathered for a retreat dedicated to one fundamental question: how can we do business better? This is partly a tactical question--so our founders discussed ways to 2x the value of their business & exchanged productivity tool recommendations (Superhuman, Read AI, RescueTime, Loom and LangChain all came up as practical tools that helped founders automate "$50 / hour tasks" so that we could focus on the $5,000 / hour tasks). But more importantly, it's a moral question. How can we become the best version of ourselves through our work? How can we do work we're proud of? How can we use our work to give back to others? ?? Growth minds is building the world's most valuable network for founders. If you're hungry to explore these questions, apply to join on our website. ??Thanks to our member, Fati Hakim for the video.

Planning and preparation are important but sometimes you just have to make a decision, start a new chapter, or pivot. A lot of misinformation and over-information is circulating about AI. Learning the basics about advanced tech and how it effects your nonprofit or business is important. Time to update you SOP- the OP Collab can help with that.

" The problem isn't that AI will take our jobs; the problem is that we've built a society that needs jobs to be taken " by GreyDuckNorthStar. I feel like I’m on to something, or on something, but if everyone suddenly had a "blueberry button" in their home that could produce perfect blueberries on demand, what's the first thing people would say? "But what about the blueberry farmers? What about their jobs?" And that's exactly the problem. We've built a society where the automation of labor - even tedious, unnecessary labor - is seen as a threat rather than a liberation. Why? Because we've tied basic human dignity and survival to the performance of labor, even when that labor becomes unnecessary. The truth is, AI will replace human work. A lot of it. And we need to stop pretending otherwise. But that's not actually the problem. The problem is that we've created a system where people NEED their work to be irreplaceable to survive. Instead of asking "How do we protect jobs from AI?", we should be asking "Why have we built a society where people need protected from abundance? ?? ?? #AI

Positive. Social. Impact JAAQ. and Cudo might seem like very different businesses on the face of it. One is a mental health tech platform. The other is a high-performance compute, GPU and AI business. But the one thing they have in common are the three words at the start of this post. And that's why we invested in them. #techforgood #socialimpact #sustainability #mentalhealth #compute

2 个月I love this concept! I’ve started a Hidden Talents Brown Bag series for our IT Department. Each session features a surprise guest speaker, and the team has to guess who it is before we begin. For now, the topics are non-work-related. We’ve covered subjects like harnessing solar energy and fermentation. It’s incredible to see what our team members are passionate about outside of their usual work. When people talk about their passions, it brings a unique energy and vibe to the conversation. This initiative also helps our team overcome the fear of public speaking. Plus, it allows us to get to know each other on a more personal level. It’s truly a win-win!
