CPChem donated $22,500 to Brazosport Cares Food Pantry for the Bulldog Marketplace, a local organization dedicated to combating food insecurity in the surrounding community. ? The donation enables the food pantry to provide nutritious meals to families in need living west of the Brazos River and will purchase essential food items, support operational costs and enhance outreach programs to ensure that no one in the community goes hungry. ? “Brazosport Cares is grateful for CPChem’s support of the Bulldog Marketplace,” said Christy Frey, executive director of Brazosport Cares. “They have invested in this endeavor since the beginning and helped make it possible to open a new food pantry in Sweeny to feed our neighbors.”

New Partnership Alert! ???The Diaper Bank of Skagit County has moved operations to our Food Distribution Center. This partnership enables both of us to better serve the community by providing vital resources to those who need them most. The United Way's role is to receive?diaper?donations and financial donations to purchase?diapers, and then order the products. Community Action's role is to receive shipments of?diapers and other supplies and store them at their Skagit Food Distribution Center, which is the central hub for distributing food to 12 food?banks and three meal programs. The United Way works with local partner agencies to distribute the?diapers and supplies. This collaboration is innovative, because its leverage's Community Action's established warehousing and distribution system, while the United Way can work directly with donors and partner agencies to help the entire community make a bigger collective impact together than any of us can on our own. Dignity first. That’s how North York Harvest Food Bank’s made me feel. Food donations are about more than filling shelves—they’re about honoring the dignity of those who receive or need them.
