Do you “need to” or do you “get to” with most of your work? Do you get anxiety on Sundays staring down another taxing workweek ahead of you? Every brilliant leader starts by explaining all of the duties they have to do as well as a general lethargic feeling about most of their work roles. As an advisor who works on mind shifts, I gently mention that there is little in life that we “need to” or “have to” do. Yes, all decisions have consequences too. We are at choice for much more than we realize - including our careers. Maybe it’s time to review your lack of enthusiasm and find an “I get to” space or new career path. #careercoach #transition #health #workplacewellness #transformation #burnout #happiness #futureleadership

?? ?????? ??????????????, ?????? ???????????????????? ?? “???????? ???????????? ????????????, ???????????? ???????????? ?????? ????????????????????.” I’ve learned that each season brings unique opportunities to support people, adapt strategies, and foster growth. Just like the shift to autumn, change invites us to reimagine what’s possible. Whether it’s helping teams navigate transitions or creating spaces where everyone can thrive, the beauty in our work often lies in embracing the new and unexpected. This season, I’m reflecting on the value of fresh starts and the impact we can make by leaning into change. What new beginnings are you welcoming in your work? ?? P.S. If this resonates, feel free to #share for others to enjoy. #NewSeasons #HRLeadership #GrowthMindset #PeopleFirst #EmployeeExperience #ChangeManagement #FutureOfWork #CareerGrowth #LeadershipDevelopment #HumanResources #HRCommunity #TalentManagement #CultureMatters #WorkplaceWellbeing .…………………………… Image description: A photo of an autumn scene with orange leaves in the foreground and a bare tree in the background. The words ‘NEW SEASONS, NEW BEGINNINGS: Like autumn leaves, change brings new beginnings’ are displayed over the image.

High performers - the MOST important thing you can do this holiday season? ?? Be PRESENT. I'm talking to you - the CEO, the Founder, the Director and the high performance team members. ?? You make things happen. You get things done. ?? But what your family and friends want from you the rest of the year is YOU present. Not checking your phone and not doing any work! You're driven. I get that - I used to be that overworked. But the holidays are truly a time to unplug, recharge and make magical memories. Happy holidays to you and yours! I hope you unplug from work. ?? #overworked #holidaystress #holidaywellness #highperformanceteams #burnoutprevention

When did you last take your annual leave? Resting is a part of working. One of my clients missed a couple of sessions, and she had good reasons for this - actually they were very logical reasons. There was a burial, a public holiday, unplanned work, etc. These all make sense; Yes? Well, when we finally had our session, after about a month, I prodded her a little bit by asking, "What else might be going on here?" As a transformational coach, I KNOW that nothing is ever really that simple - especially when someone is not fulfilling their commitments. Her response after some reflection and letting out a big sigh was, "I am tired!" It turns out that she had not taken her annual leave for close to 18 months . . . and she had not noticed that this was beginning to affect the quality of her delivery. Seeing as she is a team leader, I pointed out to her that this must be affecting her team. If the team leader is not taking their annual leave, the team must also be suffering. This turned out to be true. >>First forward, she has since taken her annual leave. She also instructed her whole team to plan and pre-book their leave for this financial year. Something that they had never done. The team was really excited. You cannot work #efficiently, if you do not rest #efficiently. So jealously protect your own rest-time as a team lead, and the rest-time of your team. Resting is a part of working???? Happy new week Wishing you courage, Jeniffer Ochwo

?? 90-hour work weeks? Sunday shifts? "Biwi ke sath bachhe bhi bhaag jayenge!" What’s happening, folks? Especially those in their 50s, 60s, and 70s—are you feeling envious of the younger generation, or is it the lack of romance in your life? Let’s get real—life isn’t just about endless work. It’s meant to be lived and cherished with the ones we love. Even animals, whether born into good or tough conditions, find joy in their lives. The only ones who don’t? Those trapped in cages. Unfortunately, some CEOs seem to treat their employees the same way—pushing them to work Sundays and robbing them of their time. Life happens once. Don’t let someone who doesn’t respect your time dictate how you live it. Prioritize yourself, your loved ones, and your happiness. Work hard, yes—but live harder! I’m taking my weekends off to spend quality time with family and friends. Because at the end of the day, it’s not the hours you work but the moments you live that truly matter. ?? Happy weekend ahead, everyone! ?? What are your plans for this weekend? Let me know how you’re recharging! #WorkLifeBalance #SundayWellSpent #EmployeeWellBeing #LeadershipMatters #NoTo90HourWorkWeek #LifeBeyondWork #QualityTime #FamilyFirst #CorporateCulture #WeekendVibes #RespectEmployees #HappyWeekend

Year-End Peace: Why Annual Leaves Matter A few years ago, I used to feel guilty about taking time off. There was always another project, another deadline—leaving seemed impossible. But I learned the hard way that burnout doesn’t wait for permission. Now, I make it a priority to use my annual leaves, and this year is no different. As we approach year-end, I’m heading out for a much-needed vacation—a chance to unwind, reflect, and recharge. If you’re fortunate to work in a culture that values rest and encourages you to take your leaves, you’re in the right place. Use them. The work will still be there when you’re back, but your peace of mind is irreplaceable. Here’s to finding balance and starting the new year with fresh energy. Where are you heading for year-end peace? #worklifebalance #yearend #softwareengineer

Take that annual leave! ?? I recently returned from a?full two weeks off?work, exploring the USA. No emails, no Teams chats, and no social media. It was bliss - I lived in the moment, free from strategy writing and conflicting deadlines. While I do my best to take shorter breaks, I always find myself checking emails or stressing about looming deadlines. This time was different. Since returning to work, I’ve felt all the benefits of true rest. Rejuvenation: My brain had a chance to rest, reset, and recharge. The mental clarity is priceless. Breaking Patterns: Time off allowed me to rethink my day-to-day work tasks and priorities. I kicked bad habits and embraced fresh approaches. Inspiration: From savouring amazing food to engaging in incredible conversations with strangers across the pond, my experiences fuelled inspiration. Avoiding Burnout: Most importantly, this leave helped me avoid burnout. It’s an investment in my well-being and creativity. Remember, taking care of yourself isn’t selfish—it’s essential for sustained productivity and innovation. #TakeTimeOff #CreativityMatters #WorkLifeBalance
