I spent two days last week working with a group of eager participants at the Australian Institute of Management, unpacking a range of key communication concepts such as active listening, how to show empathy properly, emotional intelligence and dealing well with conflict, as examples.
Research tells us that 75% of communication is done through body language which means if we want to communicate and connect better with others, we need to understand it.
Simply, the core idea here is that we listen more through our eyes than our ears.
