?? What an epic week at SIMTOS 2024 in Korea! ????? Boone, Benjamin, and Jonathan, along with Paul, our VIC agent for BJC Machine Tools, had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of machine tooling at one of the largest expos in the industry. But SIMTOS isn’t just about the latest in machines or manufacturing tech (though we saw plenty of cool stuff! ?????)… our days were jam-packed with learning, exploring a different culture and forging connections with like-minded professionals from around the world. A factory tour of SMEC and rubbing shoulders with the international SMEC distributor network at the SMEC dinner party was a highlight. Meeting colleagues from Korea, Finland, Germany, the UK, USA, Argentina and beyond, with plenty of laughs along the way, reminded us of the power of shared knowledge and experience. It was such a great opportunity to share product and sales information to assist our own market and product development. Together with SMEC Machine Tools we're shaping the future of the manufacturing industry. Talking about the future, we got to see the latest releases from SMEC with their newest model, the NS1600T2Y2, featuring 2x turrets and 2x spindles. This is a huge addition to the SMEC lineup, a definite game-changer. We also took a look at the NS2600SY sub-spindle machine, MCV-4500D twin pallet VMC and got a little teaser about the upcoming SMEC Horizontal Machining Centre! ?? The Samchully Workholding, Inc. compact 5-axis tables and BBT Tooling were also a highlight. We’re pretty excited to see this tooling released in Australia soon. What more can we say?!!… it was a fantastic week and the only downside is that we couldn’t take all of our clients along for the trip! Should a launch be extravagant or simple and still be memorable? I've seen gongs, lasers, launch pads, laser and video combo, etc. It is subjective, but yesterday's launch gambit was pretty good to me. All event launches would have their own objectives and ends in mind. It should expect different reactions from the guests, both welcoming and those who you can never impress.
