If you can’t answer these 7 questions about your de-escalation program, how do you know it’s effective? Healthcare violence risks are dynamic and complex. And your de-escalation program needs to be the right fit. Answer these questions to evaluate your program: -Are all staff provided with some level of de-escalation training? —If no, what’s the rationale? -Is the level of training for various staff groups based on their risk? —When was the last time you evaluated risks by group? -Does staff feel that training is effective in the field? —How do you know? -Is your refresher training cadence keeping staff skills fresh? —How do you know? If you can’t answer these questions, don’t worry! It’s never too late to look under the hood of your program to see what’s working and what needs to be fixed. PS- How do you ensure your de-escalation program is effective? #healthcare #healthcaresecurity #healthcareleaders #violenceprevention #deescalation #nursing #physicians

?? titanhsi.com Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or CPR, is a crucial step in out-of-hospital emergencies: It can double or triple someone’s chance of survival if performed immediately, while each minute without CPR lowers their chances by 10%. More than 350,000 Americans experience cardiac arrest outside of hospitals each year, but only about 40% receive bystander CPR, the American Heart Association reports. Since cardiac emergencies can occur anywhere, including the workplace, many employers require CPR, first aid or basic life support (BLS) training. But it’s also a useful—and potentially life-saving—skill that anyone can acquire. CPR certification typically takes just a few hours. You can even earn CPR certification online. Some courses include prerecorded content, while others feature live virtual training. Many providers also offer a remote skills assessment so you can earn an employer-approved certificate of completion. In this article, we’ll explore seven options based on our research and help you choose the right course. #parenting #richmond #richmondva #rva #virginia #girlscouts #grandparents #dadsofinstagram #babysitting #boyscouts #momsofinstagram #childcareprofessional #childcare #athomehealth #athomehealthcare #rooferslife #compliance #Workforce #safety #contractors #construction
