Atlanta based Slip Robotics has recently raised $28 in funding. The company's robot-as-a-service business model has been a hit since it was founded in 2020. The bots used in this case can handle uneven ground and navigate routes from the warehouse floor into a truck trailer. Slip Robotics launched its commercial service in 2023 and the bots provided by Slip Robotics are being used in facilities across more than 25 sites. Its clients include John Deere, Valeo, and Nissan among others. #robotics #fundingnews

Atlanta-based?Slip Robotics, a startup that has developed a robot that can load a truck trailer in five minutes, has raised $28 million in Series B funding. The round was led by DCVC and saw participation from existing investors EVE ATLAS, Tech Square Ventures, Hyde Park Venture Partners, Overline, and Pathbreaker Ventures. Slip Robotics, which was founded in 2020, has developed and launched a commercial robot-as-a-service business that combines automation software and large floor-like robotic platforms that can hold 10 palettes and carry up to 12,000 pounds. According to the company, these so-called SlipBots can handle uneven ground and navigate routes from the warehouse floor into a truck trailer.
