But here's the thing: We're living in a world where many people aren't aware of financial matters, leaving 1.4 billion people unbanked and countless others struggling to build wealth. Let's not even get started on credit card debt. ?? So, what can we do about it? This panel will explore exactly that. As an immigrant, I felt these challenges firsthand, which led me to start Instarails with my fantastic team to address this problem. We're working to make global payments to employees, merchants, suppliers, and vendors instant, inexpensive, and inclusive to the unbanked. ?? Celebrating Our Biggest Win at Inventron 2K23! ?? Hey everyone! ?? I'm absolutely thrilled to share one of the most significant moments in my tech journey so far. I had the incredible opportunity to participate in Inventron 2K23, a 36-hour national hackathon organized by MLRIT CIE It was a whirlwind experience – diving into my second year of studies and just beginning to explore full-stack web development. Alongside my teammate, Akhil Kongonda. we embarked on a journey to create something impactful. Our project? A real-time ambulance location tracking and sharing application. Through countless hours of hard work, determination, and teamwork, crafted a prototype . Undeterred by the highs and lows, we persevered through the challenges, pushing ourselves to the limit and beyond. And you know what? All that effort paid off – because we clinched the first prize! Winning at Inventron 2K23 wasn't just about the trophy or the recognition. It was about the journey – the moments of inspiration, and the camaraderie forged in the fires of innovation. This experience left a lasting impact on me, solidifying my belief in the power of perseverance, collaboration, and the boundless potential of technology to create positive change. During our last community meet-up, the young tech enthusiasts were given an assignment to write 5 sentences on technology. As we were rounding up the question and answer session, one of them asked, "What is technology?" The moderator encouraged her to work on her assignment, as completing it would provide her with answers to the question. This incident sparked a series of thoughts in our hearts, one of which is that children are eager to learn when they are in a safe and engaging atmosphere, especially when adults reach out to them in their 'world.' This is precisely what YoungTechies Squad offers – bringing technology to children in their world. Yes, we know it's an enormous task, but we, at Tech for Young Minds and Newbies, are ready to give it our all. The next meet-up will address the question our little angel asked: "What is technology?" We believe this is crucial if we want to be true representatives of our values, where diversity is paramount. After all, who are we without our principles, right? As a collective, we've decided that including an executive-level individual on our judging panel would make us stand out. Please meet our final jury member, Tatiana Terentieva, General Counsel of inDrive, the parent brand for the Aurora Tech Award. She was born in the distant region of Sakha, the northern part of Siberia, with almost half of it located above the Arctic Circle. This means Tatiana’s character was shaped by very severe and extreme weather and socio-economic conditions. As a representative of a small national ethnicity, Tatiana managed to bring her values into the professional field at inDrive, becoming an accomplished legal professional in 2015. Her two main passions that she has been pursuing throughout her journey are Philology and Law. While the science of language and literature can be quite universal, studying law is a never-ending challenge for someone who started in the eastern hemisphere and then went all the way to California. In order to make a huge leap towards her future, she completed the Stanford LEAD program in 2022. Tatyana is our rock who has never failed us and has always inspired the Aurora Tech Award team.
