We're excited to be hiring a Director role focused entirely on Amazon in 2025. Not a partnerships person who handles Amazon...a Director whose job is Amazon. As Amazon has continued to develop AMC and other technologies, we've made it a point to be involved not just in educating advertisers but in providing feedback to Amazon's product teams on what's working and where advertisers get the most value. We get early beta access, visibility into Amazon's roadmap, and collaborate with so many teams and stakeholders at Amazon for innovation in streaming media, first-party data integration, and enhanced customer journey mapping. So we're doubling down with hiring a Director in this role. And after talking with several others in the space, I think having this level of dedicated focus will become a significant differentiator for us. The future of advertising won't be built on surface-level platform relationships. It'll be built on the depth of understanding that only comes from true partnership. We're #hiring for some stellar #strategiccommunications and #employeecommunications talent to drive integrated comms campaigns for our GREF customers (Amazon business units) and across our internal GREF employee workforce. One of the biggest benefits of working at Amazon is the openness and ability to move into different functions and try new roles. Because we have such a high and clear hiring bar, if you are an Amazonian, there is an understanding that you can do almost any role (barring any necessary technical skills). This can be a blessing and a curse. So many opportunities! The options can be overwhelming if you aren’t sure what you want next. This is how I used the Love/Hate exercise to help me understand what I wanted to do. After my first job at Amazon in Buying, I realized I loved the customer experience - how they shopped our site, what they clicked on, what we showcased, how it came to life. I didn’t love the clothes I was buying to sell on our site or fashion or negotiating with vendors (core elements of my job!). This helped me understand what could be a good next move and when a role opened up on the Content Strategy/Merchandising team, I jumped! I am wary of gimmicky frameworks and fluffy “find yourself” exercises. This is a simple, easy-to-do, actionable exercise. It’s not rocket science, just a forcing function to help you drive clarity.
