Recently, Eric was called to support a high-volume packaging production facility experiencing complex technical challenges during a planned maintenance shutdown. Stations within the facility’s high speed packaging lines were experiencing ???????????????? ?????????? ?????????????? which attributed to poor package seal quality and breakdowns. These sealing/cutting blades are critical for cutting and sealing secondary packaging, often operating at high speeds. Unfortunately, the blades were prone to frequent breakage, forcing the customer to make frequent replacements, which was not only costly but also led to significant production losses. The customer attempted to resolve these issues using their internal maintenance team without much success. With no permanent solution in sight, ATS responded and recommended Eric Bailey for support. Leveraging his expertise and ATS diagnostic tools, Eric identified a key issue: improper blade binding. This caused the blades to catch and break instead of moving smoothly across the sealing surface.
