Announcing The USA Cares, Inc. Ohio Chapter 4th annual Top Golf Event!! What's USA Cares? USA Cares' mission is to provide post-9/11 military veterans, service members, and their families with emergency financial assistance and post-service skills training to create a foundation for long-term stability. Their services improve the quality of life for veterans and their families and reduce potential factors that can contribute to veteran suicide. Last year's numbers: As a 501c3 Organization USA Cares achieved a highly exclusive 100% rating from Charity Navigator with 87.45% of each dollar going directly into their programs! However, this is not enough – last year, in the state of Ohio 642 veterans in desperate need of assistance requested $3.3M in these lifesaving grants. These grants and supplemental programming enable veterans to overcome barriers of employment and become productive friends, community members, and employees. Many of us leave the Armed Forces feeling like we are unscathed and have everything under control - only for things to unravel over time. Life in the military is clear cut, it's organised, there is a rank structure and protocols to follow - and often it is this routine and sense of order that keeps someone on track. When leaving the military through choice it can be hard to adapt to the change of routine and structure - so when having to leave not through your own choice it can be even harder to adjust. Sometimes Veterans just need a little guidance to help get things in place to make life a little easier, but often there are various support strategies needed to help a Veteran back on track - this is why SWV has more than one support pathway on offer. GOLD BEACH Gold Beach is 1st of 2, of D-Day beaches to be led by the British and was situated between Port-en-Bessin and Ver-sur-Mer the central most area of the D-Day invasion. The objectives of Gold were to secure a beachhead, capture Arromanches to link with American troops at Omaha and to capture Bayeux to link up with Canadian troops from Juno. Similar to Omaha, Gold beach was split into 2 components, an ariel and naval bombardment to clear German defences and an Infantry landing to capture the beach. In contrast to Omaha, the bombardments were highly effective in wiping out most of the German defences. The navel bombardments from HMS Ajax and HMS Argonaut proved to be extremely effectively providing pinpoint accuracy to take out 3 of the 4 artillery emplacements. Infantry landing commenced nearly an hour after the American landings due to different tides. Rough seas made it tricky for Infantry landing craft, resulting in 20 of them being sunk or damaged by mines, however this did not slow British troops much as within an hour they had secured beach exits to push further inland and by days end they had completed their objective.

Financial Relief for Service Members: Our primary objective is to alleviate financial strain on service members during Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves. We achieve this by offering financial assistance for lodging expenses incurred during transitional periods between homes. 2. Community Enhancement near Military Installations: We endeavor to improve the quality of neighborhoods surrounding military installations. By acquiring properties in these areas, refurbishing them, and making them available for long-term rental through platforms like Billet, we aim to enhance the living conditions for service members and their families. 3. Transitional Lodging Support: We provide temporary lodging solutions for service members transitioning out of the military. Whether they require short-term accommodations while finalizing their plans or need assistance to re-establish themselves post-service, we offer a supportive environment to facilitate their transition.

???? Our Project Manager, Alex Osmolovskyi, founded The Hope Brigade, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those affected by the war in Ukraine. DataArt and its partners, working with The Hope Brigade, have raised around $48,000. This funding has been instrumental in acquiring four stabilization points—bases equipped for immediate medical intervention and patient stabilization before further transport or treatment. This includes two Volkswagen T5 vans fully stocked with medical supplies and two additional ambulance bases. Thanks to DataArt’s contributions, we have also procured essential medical equipment, including ventilators, defibrillators, mobile ultrasound devices, and oxygen tanks. Alex recalls the origins of their initiative:?"At the onset of the invasion, we supported existing charities. As the situation escalated, we began our own fundraising efforts, gathering contributions from colleagues to provide vehicles and a humanitarian kit for over forty people.?As both the need and contributions grew, it became clear that we needed to collaborate with international partners and establish our own organization. This led to the creation of The Hope Brigade." The demand for medical resources remains critical, with ongoing needs for items like defibrillators, x-ray machines, ventilators, and hemostatic bandages. Alex is actively seeking a portable X-ray machine, a vital resource, and is open to any information on clinics that might be selling used equipment. In May 2023, coordinating through The Hope Brigade, internet equipment for schools, universities, and bomb shelters in Kremenchuk, Dnipro, and Odesa was acquitted. Furthermore, a substantial shipment of internet hot spots from the USA, Poland, and Italy for educational purposes is currently en route. ???? Unemployment is not comfortable for anyone - it can bring financial uncertainty, pressure on relationships, stress related health issues and risk of housing issues. Military personnel commit a large portion of their time, energy and years of commitment to military service. Often undertaking roles that are like no other, are involved in situations that many can't even start to comprehend and suffer with injuries and illness that other areas of life would not bring. This is why it is important that Veterans who have given so much already have the support and guidance needed to get them into secure employment.
