JPG was recently contacted to bolt up Callide Power Stations C4 Main Stop Valves. This timelapse shows how easy, efficient and accurate induction heating these bolts is. Faster heating times compared to conventional electric heaters minimises heat soak into the surrounding casing reducing the heat in the bolt to achieve the required bolt stretch for nut rotations. Initial bolt stretch was within specification but another round saw every bolt within 0.02mm of each other. Safety is another reason to prefer induction heating, as the wand is cool to touch after removal from the bolt. No red hot electric wands to handle. Why use anything other than induction heating.?

There is no specific running cost of ThermaSkirt... Much like there's no specific running cost of radiators. ThermaSkirt is in effect a giant aluminium radiator that has simply been squashed and stretched. Does ThermaSkirt allow for system conditions to reduce running costs? yes. Does ThermaSkirt result in higher levels of thermal comfort? yes Does it work well with weather comp curves? yes But let's say you have a 10kw heat output from radiators or ThermaSkirt and you run your boiler at 75°C for 7 hours per day.
