Next up in our 2024 Project Achievement Award honors: ATANE, recognized for their role in managing the construction of the new West District Headquarters for the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services at Black Rock State Park. The new headquarters will house DEEP staff across various divisions, including State Parks ??, Forestry ??, Law Enforcement ??♀?, Boating ?? , and Wildlife ???. This LEED v4 Platinum and Net Zero facility features 16 geothermal wells, 186 solar panels, and native plantings to restore the local ecosystem and improve water filtration. ATANE ensured seamless project execution by maintaining its own BIM model to prevent construction conflicts and ensure smooth integration of components. ?? The successful project team included designer TLB Architecture, LLC and general contractor Nutmeg Companies.
