Europe's 100 hottest start-ups...and yes, water tech made the list ?? Well, 1/100 is an improvement, right?! Each year, WIRED magazine compiles its listing of 100 start-ups it believes will have a huge impact across the globe. From AI in healthcare, to renewable energy storage, mini nuclear plants and brain scanning, the companies are categorised from major cities: Berlin, Paris, London, Helsinki, Stockholm, Madrid, Amsterdam, Dublin, Lisbon and Zurich. One water-tech start-up made the listing: Oxyle from Switzerland, which is commercializing its modular PFAS treatment reactors (kudos and shout out to the co-founders Fajer Mushtaq & Silvan Staufert). It still amazes me that some of the amazing water and climate-tech innovations coming out from Europe don't make the list. Will international projects like ITER Organization and breakthroughs in magnetic confinement and inertial confinement fusion offer be able to offer hope for future???
