That same day, on the Night of the Stars 2022, I gave a second talk individually on behalf of the UADY Astronomical Society entitled "H-R Diagrams". In this talk I addressed how interesting and useful it can be to know this type of graph, how the colors, sizes and luminosity of the stars are, we can learn many aspects of it, such as its age, its chemical composition and distance from the planet Earth. And how two people, in different parts of the world and living in completely different environments, without knowing the existence of each other, were able to design and create their own diagram of luminosity, size and color of the stars within a few years of each other...

And so, this means there are magnetic fields everywhere throughout space and life in the Universe is likely more extant than we ever thought...!? https://lnkd.in/eUsXab2p

The model created by astronomers of Ventspils Augstskola has already made it possible to understand that the composition of interstellar ice is similar in different cosmic nebulae, since the composition of ice is regulated simultaneously by several mechanisms. Further applications of this model will bring new discoveries, including about the processes during the birth of stars. #discoveries #ventspilsaugstskola

Are we alone in the universe? This is one of the principal questions for astronomers studying “extrasolar planets”, also known as “exoplanets”. Today, astronomers start addressing one of science and philosophy’s most fundamentally primitive yet unanswered questions. When you look up at the night sky, it’s hard to not be blown away by the sheer vast blanket of space, sprinkled with stars. Whilst the beauty is undeniable, if you were to ask me what I was looking at specifically – my facial expression would resemble staring into a black hole. To understand the night sky, I want to assemble a list of the most important books on astronomy.
