You're late to the tee time and you can't warm up - what do you do? This movement is a great way to hit every part of the hip joint and loosen the hips before a round. Many people think that the key to preventing injury is taking 20 minutes to stretch every cardinal plane of a joint. Not the case. It's important that you contract the musculature at a sub-maximal force in as many parts of the range of motion as possible. Thankfully, golf isn;t a cardio-intensive sport, so no need for walking lunges. But it does demand a lot of range of motion at very fast speeds, so mobility work is key.
