Since moving to Portland nearly a decade ago, one of our favorite discoveries has been the local independent, experiential music and arts festival, PICKATHON. Nestled in the Pacific Northwest woods on a farm outside the city, each stage and experience is unique and unforgettable, melding outdoor “neighborhoods” with up-and-coming artists across genres.? When we launched Aurora Elixirs back in 2017, we had the opportunity to participate in the Pickathon’s Curation series- an intimate farm-to-table dining experience that pairs chefs with live music performances by the festival’s participating artists.? When we began kegging Aurora and then Lolo Hops, we expanded our presence on the farm as one of the only nonalcoholic options at the bars (Pickathon is a pioneer in festival sustainability and is a zero-waste event- there are no single-use plastic bottles, cups, or dishes on site so the beverage vendors supply only kegged libations). This year, for the first time, all the bars at Pickathon served Lolo Hops as a nonalcoholic offering. It was our biggest effort to date and the results were beyond our expectations. Thanks to the Pickathon team and Scott Wagner for helping us spread hoppy refreshments to festivalgoers during the best weekend of the year!
