What an event! On November 6, 2024, D/FW Minority Supplier Development Council and Dallas ISD Minority/Women Business Enterprise hosted its annual Dallas ISD Day. We had an amazing turnout with over 600 attendees, 30 exhibitors and infinite connections. We would like to thank all of the attendees, exhibitors and supporters of this event. The Minority/Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Department remains an integral component of Dallas ISD. The M/WBE Department received numerous awards for their strong commitment to minority and women-owned businesses. A continuing goal of the M/WBE Department is to maximize the participation of M/WBEs in all phases of the district's purchasing and contracting activities. The district's overall M/WBE goal is 30 percent. The district's M/WBE bond project goals are 35 percent for professional services and 30 percent for construction. The M/WBE Department focuses on community outreach, contract compliance and monitoring, business development, and in-reach initiatives.
