Our new work in collaboration with Kennie M. s group at the Cleveland Clinic is out on the arXiv https://lnkd.in/etZTAccP. We show how the sample-based methods developed earlier this year with RIKEN https://lnkd.in/en94NaRJ can be integrated with density matrix embedding theory to tackle larger molecular systems and study conformers such as the ones of cyclohexane. This work is the third industry research paper in the span of a few months from Cleveland Clinic and Lockheed Martin, showing that quantum-centric supercomputing is a promising avenue to reach quantum advantage for realistic models of nature. This is getting exciting. The third SQD paper in three months - this time in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic. It’s becoming clear that the road to quantum advantage is moving in the direction of more realistic models of nature, delivered via quantum computing alloyed with classical supercomputing - what we’re calling ‘quantum-centric supercomputing’.
