?? Happy New Year!??? As we close 2024, I'm proud to reflect on what we have accomplished through our focus on communities, critical infrastructure, and climate action. We have made safety our foundation and our end state and used sustainability as our guide as we look to resource today's warfighters and anticipate the needs of tomorrow's warfighters. As we begin 2025, I look forward to seeing our hard work and strategic investments in energy, installations, and the environment strengthen our maritime dominance, our people, and our partnerships. And there’s more coming! In 2025, the US Navy - United States Marine Corps team will continue demonstrating the?ingenuity and drive that makes them the greatest maritime fighting force in the world.

Cooperation between the allied democracies hasn't been more essential in 80 years. However, when I see these large-scale naval exercises, I think we are fighting the last war, not preparing for the one already upon us. Have we learned nothing from Ukraine? Nothing from our intelligence on China's military development? Grand fleet manoeuvers make excellent targets for Chinese ship-buster missiles and the new class of air, surface, and underwater sea drones. The US carrier group in the Red Sea can't defeat the Houthis. How will the Grand Fleet defeat the China/Russia/Iran axis? A carrier group's operating range is about 500 miles. A Chinese carrier-buster missile has a range of 750 miles. Only one has to hit. And they are much cheaper than a carrier, a naval fighter plane, or a defensive missile. The NATO nations are ramping up their defense spending, and justifiably so. However, a massive percentage of that spending will do nothing to make the free world safer. Indeed, it is a distraction from accelerating the development of the systems that will make the free world safer. Time to wake up. Honoring Veterans Day: Lessons in Discipline and Mastery of the Basics As we recognize Veterans Day, I’m inspired by the discipline and commitment to mastering the fundamentals that defines elite military training. In the Marine Corps, what sets elite Marines, like those in Reconnaissance, apart is their relentless focus on the basics. Translating that into pricing strategy means building a sustainable program through disciplined processes and consistent execution. One of the foundational principles of a robust pricing program is exception reporting. This allows us to monitor for deviations in real-time—whether it’s selling below cost, falling short of minimum margin thresholds, or violating any other pricing guidelines. Exception reporting ensures that any misalignment can be quickly identified and corrected, reinforcing a disciplined approach to program management. Combined with a commitment to inspecting what you expect through end-to-end audits, exception reporting creates a solid foundation. By staying rooted in these fundamentals, a pricing program can become not only effective but adaptable to changing market dynamics.

Yesterday was a successful first day at the 37th Annual Surface Navy Association Symposium in Crystal City, Virginia. The Navy provided an update on the status of the Constellation-class frigate program. Captain Andy Gold, Program Manager, spoke to a full house, including industry key-players, Navy officials, and press, about progress on the frigate. Gold emphasized that thanks to transparency and collaboration between Fincantieri Marinette Marine and the U.S. Navy, the program is expected to reach design stability in May 2025, and then move to large scale production. We are proud to work alongside our U.S. Navy partner to bring the future fleet on board. ? #Fincantieri #FincantieriMarineGroup #FutureOnBoard #USNavy

Strengthening America's Shipbuilding Future In a world where the balance of power is continually shifting, the need for a robust and mobilized military-industrial base has never been more critical. As guardians of the international rules-based order, the United States must ensure its readiness against any forces threatening global stability. A pivotal part of this readiness lies in our shipbuilding industry, the backbone of our naval capabilities. It's time to reignite the "Arsenal of Democracy" spirit that played a crucial role during WWII, helping to secure victory and peace. As we rallied to build tanks and planes in the past, we must advance our capacity to build state-of-the-art submarines and ships today. I invite you to explore and share how we contribute to this vital national effort at www.buildsubmarines.com. I've noticed this site as a backdrop advertisement in most Major League Baseball games, which serves as a chilling reminder of the world we live in. www.buildsubmarines.com #Shipbuilding #DefenseIndustry #NationalSecurity #InternationalSecurity #MLB #FreeandOpenIndoPacific
