Excited to share that I've successfully completed my second task at Intern Intelligence. This project is an API service that manages movie and genre information for users. Remember your first PR with never ending comments on it? I definitely do. My first PR after joining my company seemed like a never ending battle!? There were JUST. SOO. MANY. COMMENTS!!! ??? some related to how could the logic be improved ??? others being formatting changes ??? best practices to follow for cleaner, readable code and what not? At that time I felt like this was a never ending process and I was really in a hurry to get my first PR merged and just hop on to the next ?? But today, I feel those were the PRs which has shaped my code writing skills. It's one thing to have your code working but it's a completely different thing to have your code readable, clean, optimised and of course working. I think I would rather prefer having many comments in my PR today rather than a sloppy “Approved” because I know I have learned something from every comment. So to people new in corporate or going to join soon- Don’t feel embarrassed or defensive about comments on your PR. And definitely, don’t let ego get in the way of feedback. Code reviews are a great learning opportunity—you’ll always pick up something new that expands your coding horizons. ? #PR #review #codereview #tech #softwaredeveloper
